The DGT305RE is part of DYNEX’s family of Gate Turn-Off Thyristors that allow active switching off of high-current paths — a major advantage in power electronics such as variable-speed motor drives, AC to DC inverters, choppers and welding power units. GTO thyristors are especially valuable where precise control of conduction and interruption of current is needed, such as in PWM (pulse-width modulation) converters and heavy-duty power converters.
